ER!!

During August ER team was alot of meeting with different companies: SURTIGAS Foundation, interesed in to take international trainees with backgrounds in inviromental issues; USB, UdeC y Tadeo interesed in Integral alliance; The SED (Secretarìa de Educaciòn Distrital) receipt the proposal and we are waiting the aprobation the next Week. Another companies said not but they give us good contacts and they get the best perseption our organization, also we learned a lot: Alianza Colombo Francesa, CABOT de Colombia S.A....etc.


We had our ER general assembly. 'All the LC selling Campaign' was launch. Now Ivonne is in charge of SURTIGAS foundation, Dennis looking for EP to the TN ID In Co CG 1264, Manching and Vanyra will work in the PRM and ICX matches. Karina is in charge of Tadeo and other companies.

We have New member in our Team: Jennifer Molina. Welcome Jenn ER is yours!!! Julian is also sopporting the ER gestion. Thanks J.

The ER members from AIESEC CG, EAN y PEREIRA are now a Big Team in AIESEC COLOMBIA, working in the results to the Ying Yang Campaing and reporting in PRM the ER gestion. We hope exceptional results to December.

Actually TM Team @CG is workin on the development of the Learning plan in all membership, throught different motivation activities. The members who carry the Learning plan process out in the best way, are award monthly.

Twenty three people assisted to our Assesment Centre, organiced fifteen days ago. In there, they developped activities that allow us examinate skills and habilities requiered to be part of AISEC. The people who was selected throught this process will have the chance to assist LTM II 08.

Finally, TM members are supporting each other to prepare two of its members to assume the next step in AISEC.

This month Communications area is making external communication reloaded within Local Training Meeting 2008-02. We are preparing all graphics things for this events and recruit the best young talent.
Besides, we are working so hard for streingth external communication and improve all positioning that we can obtain, in universities and partners.

FINANCES

The area of finance will dedicate this last month to strengthen the collection of funds through some activities that are designed to comply with certain financial obligations of the committee and the sustainability of it, also focus on strengthening legal processes especially in the health service the trainee. Regarding the development of our members are implemented a change (turnover) in the job of each member so as to increase the commitment and performance of members of the finance team.

Robert Kennedy: The greatest leadership speech ever made?
How do you measure the 'greatness' of an act of leadership?

Forty years ago on Friday (April 4th), Robert Kennedy stepped off a plane and gave the speech below, from the back of a flatbed truck. It wasn't the speech he had intended to give, which was a campaign speech. Notice the scrunched up piece of paper in his hand. That's where he scribbled notes for this impromptu speech, though he doesn't refer to them. Kennedy was due to give a campaign speech in a poor black part of Indianapolis. He knew, but the crowd didn't, that Martin Luther King had been killed that night. You can hear him say at the start of the clip "Do they know about Martin Luther King?" There were riots in 100 US cities this night, in outrage at Dr. King's murder. But, there was no riot in Indianapolis, where Robert Kennedy gave this speech. During this Month we will have many events happening:
First and the most important!!! OGX Campaign, all of you guys should help the LC increase the number opportunities for people to go on a exchange and allow us to become a better and recognized LC…

What you have t do, it is simple.
The 5th and the 6th, join us at any of the UTB sieges, supporting stands and activities.
The week after, split into the different stands showed at the same time for three days in different Universities…

AIESEC 50th Anniversary!!

Since last July 26th, "AIESEC 50th Anniversary" OC, started the campaign called "Historia de un LC", in conjunction with the Alumni Coordination. Its main objective is to present the history of the local committee, in order to understand and internalize the reason of our reality, and to have clarity of our origins.

This campaign also aims to generate a sense of belonging in the LC, which contributes to the performance and motivation of each of its members, since they feel much more part of the committee. In addition, it consists on three main parts:

1. General Assemblies:
During every general assembly, we will have a space in which we could share and make some activities around our LC history and also have special guests, videos and a lot more.
2. Newsletters
From this edition until December, we will participate in the LC newsletter with news and articles which will update our LC about the processes and history in general.

3. AIESEC 50th Anniversary celebration
Finally, as we are in a celebration year, we couldn't stay behind with the AIESEC 50th Anniversary celebration. And because of that, we will have an amazing local celebration nest 30th of August. It will be attended by many special guests as alumni, partners, and LC members.

We're all part of history… That's why we count on you to achieve the success of this campaign.

FINANCES!!!

The team flantastico .. this month ... was very focused on the local party's legal committee, and the organization of the flow of each of its processes ... Partners are also a lot with the process of ICX ... and I think the wiki area where this already saved some documents area ... and good and we are preparing everything for the next legislative assembly on July 12

In June the 2nd quarter of the year is over and the external relations team goals were surpassed. 11 TN’s raised was the result until ours day, reaching and surpassing the goal planned in NPM to this Quarter: 9 TN raised.
Now we have and strong identity and our proactive member Karina had designed our logo, some product sheets, presentation cards to ER members and our informal presentation: The Boli’s Angels.


In this year our approach had been the industrial and tourism sector. DONA TU CONTACTO campaign began with the initiative of our Segmentation Staff Vanyra. We got the training and calling days with good results, and we get dates with important industrial companies of Cartagena as CABOT COLOMBIANA S.A., SECRETARÍA DE EDUCACIÓN, with big possibilities to get interns.

We finished the month with grateful news; we had 35 appear in Medias, strength the relationship with radio tiempo.
Now, in internal communication we improve with the new AIESEC Cartagena's image, with new merchandise that every month we'll prepare for our Local Committee, also, we're reloaded for NatCo and generate the best positioning.
In external communication, we are excited; hope the Global Village and all that it represent for the positioning with external sector, university and students, public and private sector, embassy and others.
Also, we are adapting our external communication plan with brand XP toolkit for OGX process and we'll have better results.

FL&A!!

The FL&A area of AIESEC Cartagena was recognized as the Best developing processes to garantee substainabilty to LC, during the National Meeting in may 10th/08, also keeping 1st place in the ranking of financial (cumplimiento) in all @colombia.

Now comm.i is growth, we are 7 persons, Angie M, Jake, Silvy, Ledy, Engels, Jenny and Angie A, when we have Jenny how OCVP de COMM of Global village, a relevant event for AIESEC Cartagena, is in the celebration of 50th anniversary of AIESEC in Colombia.
Besides, the Comm.i girls are support and staff in Open Conference of Cuenta Conmigo, with a successful media appeared, in Canal Cartagena, Radio tiempo, Las 40 Principales.
Now preparated the new image of LC and brand toolkit, we hope the second Comm.i day and make our first team building :D

May started with one of the most important AIESEC event n the year, the 50th anniversary. After that, the National External Relation Meeting was another big opportunity to get training, information, networking and to have a good time in a special External Relations Dinner.
This meeting was the last time with our MCVPER 07-08 Patricia Chicas (Now MCVP Projects in Australia). In this special place AIESEC CARTAGENA receipt the best LC in TN’s realized award, in order to remember to all the ER members that we don’t only sale, we need become realized our TN forms, giving us focus in our new structure based in ICX process.

During May, we get other new partners with the Cuenta Conmigo project, VIDA CARIBE Foundation and PNUD; also we build good relations with organizations as Distrital Secretary of Education and San Buenaventura University who is very interested in take international AIESEC assistants (Trainees).

ER!

HABEMUS TEAM!!! Angie, Dennis, Karina, Man Ching, Vanyra, Ivonne, Mirle Claudia y Bolivar form the new ER team of AIESEC Cartagena.
The external relations team had achieved a lot of goals in this year, especially in the NGO’s and Educational Sector. The new focus since Q2 will be touristic and industrial sector in order to get MT’s to our Local Committee. The COLOMBO Cultural Center is waiting for two matches to get the new 5 agreements. The UTB is singing up 3 news agreements and the ER team is waiting for the approbation of proposal to diversify the pool in UTB.

With propose of to know more about each other, to identify weakness and strangeness and to create an identity, the last 1 de Mayo the ER team walk a lot to Boquilla’s place. In this place in front of the sea, with some food and with the direction of a special Chair invited, Cesar Prieto, the ER team was creating their vision, mission, logo and slogan.

In these moments the FL & A is focused in the administrative part, of there the purchase of the new one multifunctional printer for the current office, to that of all the materials for the organization of the new office, to mark the trophies among other things, But also we are moving in the legal part, since on Tuesday, the 1st of April we will have our first audit, In spite of having a few disadvantages with the legal representative, Equal we are reinforcing this process with help of the MC, and in the financial side despite delays in payments to trainees and we have no debts with the MC, although measures were taken about the payment process for trainees, in order to optimize the process.

Communication is reloaded; finally we have a real team, Jaquelín, Ángela, Silvanna, Engels, Ledy and Jennifer. They’re ours new COMM.i members.

FOCUS IN ADMINISTRATION

In this month finances is focused in administration, for this we buy the new multifunctional printer for the new office, all things for the organization, marking all trophy, and other things.

In legality, Thursday April 1st, we’ll have our first auditory, also, we have trouble with legal represent; we’re standing in strong this process with MC help, because, we were dalay with trainee paid, but we weren’t debt whit MC.

Besides, we are more careful and take precaution with legally process with trainee pay, optimization the process.

EXTERNAL RELATION

The first quarter of the year is over. New alliance with Harina Tres Castillos Company, Fe y Alegría foundation and Vida Caribe Foundation were one of the important results. To get very good relations with ONU, Mamonal Foundation, ARGOS, Universidad de San Buenaventura, UJTL, Unisinú and others organizations is just the beginning of this year.

The positioning and managing of relations in the educational sector during Q1 was the strategy of ER team to guarantee the LC sustainability to the long time. The intensive visits to the ONG sector were the strategy to achieve the Cuenta Conmigo Project goals.

Now the approach will be the industrial and tourism sector where we hope to diversify the profiles and to increase the MT and TT incoming exchange to Cartagena.

After a successful recruitment process @cg now count on 32 new members that will start using their wings to contribute to our LC's travel to the sky. They are really exited to show why they were chosen over more than 100 applicants, but TM is working hard to give them all the tools necessary for the greatest experience in their life!

April is coming with many surprises and HARD work for as, but we are happy to do it because as a goal, all most of processes should be structured by the end of this year. So ...GET READY!

EXCHANGE: WE LOVE U!

This year, the Exchange area continues offering the same opportunities and even more, challenging people to be Coordinators and managers. Changing the structure and dividing the two exchange processes Incoming and outgoing exchange into coordination in order to have more control and be more effective; Also focusing on giving the interns and exchange participants the opportunity to get involved in the Local Committee and have member's privileges in other to contribute to their development.

The Exchange Area right now offers the following positions:

While LIM-LTM, we make the introduction of AIESEC GAME, newbie and oldies for the LC. The objective of the AIESEC GAME, has 4 basic objectives, which with the implementation will hopefully be achieved, Generating in the Introduction to AIESEC Stage a good understanding of AIESEC, which will improve the quality of this stage, the game also works as a motivational tool for taking responsibilities in AIESEC, and to stress the importance of completing the AIESEC Experience in the members from the very beginning of their AIESEC journey

COMM TEAM.i BRANDING!

Comm Team.i feels grateful for the works obtain with the branding in the recruitment. Ever member using t-shirts about AIESEC, know about the brand promise and using correct. Today the challenger is transmitting this feeling to the new members.

Besides, AIESEC Cartagena obtain many appears in local and university medias, like el Cartero in the Universidad Tecnologica de Bolivar, and with Correo Curioso in La Tadeo. We’re speaking about recruitment, exchange opportunity and now, about 50th anniversary of AIESEC in Colombia.

In this moment we’re aligning with I am an AIESECer Campaign send and check with other committees, send plan media with 50th anniversary of AIESEC in Colombia and with the project Cuenta Conmigo.

FINANCES ARE IN VERY WELL WE HAVE NO DEBT MC ....

However the UTB owes us money for several days ..

we already have audit committee ... that this supervising the vanquished months ..

we have meeting on 28 this month a lot of support to the people of the 50th anniversary of AIESEC in Colombia.

We have the super financing plans for the different events AIESEC a lot of fundraising activities among such family day ... in the traditional festivities arsenal and much more ... .. with super audit a lot ... of operability ... and possibly a merger with the 50th allies for investment .. besides the conformation the super team .. payment plan for the membership.

We Create the audit committee ... we received our first payment by the CCC ... Ehhh we have the control of ppto monthly ... also was contacted to potential allies investment .... Also received by our order book retreats ... and the launching of payment plans online.

EXTERNAL RELATION SALES CHALLENGER!

During these last months the ER team had been working a lot: More than 20 companies were visited to get new external relations in the city. Organizations like Mamonal Foundation, Zona Franca Argos, USB, Harina Tres Castilos, Gobernación de Bolívar and a lot of NGO`s to sale the Cuenta Conmigo project and to offer our portfolio. Now, the results are favorable, 5 new places to incoming exchange are in the process to up in the @network, the ER team are waiting for 5 more answers and are preparing 3 new proposals to work with different social projects in the city and to get others international assistants profiles in the universities.

The segmentation of AIESEC CG and our processes map is ready!!! Now we are preparing to receive new sales challengers to our area.

Social Events Participation: the ER VP and the Sales Coordinator of AIESEC CG were in an important social event in Casa España invited by Mamonal foundation. This event was the intervention of important companies like Dow Chemical, ECOPETROL S.A., Argos and ESAP. There was a place to find new relevant relations and appointments such as with Ruth Castillo from ECOPETROL and Lidianis Padilla, Alumni 1992 of AIESEC CG.

Strengthening our traditional relations: The first partner newsletter was delivered, Information about all our events to 2008, opportunities to the partners, new price policy and 50th anniversary celebration. The integral alliance with Institution Universitaria Colombo Internacional is in the hands of its director, this approbation will bring a lot of benefits to the AIESEC CG members.

In LDS the ER member will be a lot of surprise: 1. Rewards to the results (sales challenger campaign) where Cartagena need 4 forms raised to win, 2. the ER dinner 3. All the new things prepared for our national taskforce named ER Culture.
